Cinematic Refuse is a labor of love. While I occasionally may submit articles to outside sources and link them here, I have no intention to put ads on this blog, or otherwise monetize the articles present. For the most part, my work is unpaid.
Now, if you’d like make sure I do get paid regularly for my work, I have a Patreon! For $1 a month, you can support me, and get updates on what’s to come for Cinematic Refuse, as well as my other creative projects!
I have to disclose first: this blog is a side project. Much of the Patreon is built around an ongoing science fiction project of mine, called Alkept. Alkept is a roleplaying universe, it’s a setting for my own fiction writing, and will eventually be adapted with a tabletop rulebook. A few notes on Alkept, for people approaching my Patreon:
- My Patreon is marked as “Mature.”
- Alkept contains adult, 18+ material.
- That material is unlocked by pledging $5 a month.
- You won’t see it if you pledge $4 or less.
By supporting Cinematic Refuse on Patreon, you’ll also get some updates on Alkept, be it art, excerpts from the in-progress guidebook, etc. If you’re interested in the material on this blog, you’ll likely be interested in that story as well. A lot of my own experiences as a queer, disabled sci-fi fan and internet nerd have gone into it.
